DeHaro #1

The four 2-unit buildings in this collection whimsically allude to monolithic mid-century modernistic buildings. Each building is skewed to the downhill diagonal and a magnificent view of the San Francisco skyline. The top floors recede to "share" the views and exposure sideways, building to building. A variety of carefully chosen materials - copper, aluminum, cement plaster, block and traditional painted wood - lend animation to the group. Similarities in plan and elevation allow small differences a big role in this lively composition.
